Tropical indoor plants are a little bit different from the outdoor perennial plants we are used to seeing around Rochester NY. Tropical plants stay green all year round, they cannot go outside in the winter or at any freezing temperatures, otherwise they will die and will not come back. Not a lot of tropical indoor plants can be grown from seeds, many perennials can be planted from seeds and they do very well during the course of one or two years depending on the plant, soil conditions, seed quality and amount of water they get during the course of the summer.
